Every once in a while, Brad likes to proclaim something about a given period of time. For instance, when we were dating (and Brad wanted to be engaged), he told me we needed to have a "magical May". Well, after several HUGE tests for him and lots of extra kid time for me, he told me last Saturday was going to be a "day of wonder". Turns out, it was. We packed tons into the weekend and had a blast!
We went to Powers Market to feed the animals, pick out a pumpkin, and (most importantly) eat pumpkin donuts. Check, check, and check.
We headed to the Museum of Play because Annie had really been wanting to ride on the carousel with Daddy. Check. James loved the Museum too.
After naps and a few other errands, we headed to our ward's Halloween party. It was great! We ate a quick dinner, played several Halloween games, participated in Trunk or Treat, and headed home. We stayed up a little late because we finally switched James into the real crib and Annie into a toddler bed. We're really hoping this change goes okay. To date, we've only had one successful nap in the bed, but nighttime hasn't presented any new challenges.
What a day of wonder!
